Freelancer Privacy Policy
How Carelix collects, uses, and protects personal data of freelance nurses, attendants, and other care staff on the Platform.
1 Introduction
Carelix Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. ("Carelix", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect from you as a registered Freelancer, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have under Indian law including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
2 Data We Collect
2.1 Identity & Contact Data
- Full legal name (as on Aadhaar/PAN)
- Age and gender
- Mobile number
2.2 Professional Data
- Job title / role (e.g. Nurse, Caretaker, Attendant, Ward Boy)
- Total years of experience
- Shift preference (12 hours / 24 hours / both)
- Expected salary / fee
- Qualification certificate (if uploaded)
- Nursing council registration number (for nursing roles)
2.3 KYC Documents
- Aadhaar card (mandatory — image or PDF)
- PAN card (mandatory — image or PDF)
- Qualification certificate (optional — image or PDF)
2.4 Location Data
- Preferred work location / area
- GPS location (only when you use the GPS feature during an Assignment, if applicable)
2.5 Financial Data
- Bank account holder name
- Bank account number and IFSC code
- UPI ID (optional)
- Cancelled cheque or bank document
2.6 Background Verification Data
- Address verification records
- Criminal record check results (where conducted)
- Reference check outcomes
2.7 Platform Usage Data
- Login activity and timestamps
- Assignment history (accepted, completed, cancelled)
- Client ratings received
- App and device information (device type, OS, IP address)

4 What We Share With Clients
When you are allocated an Assignment, Carelix shares the following information with the Client to establish trust and enable the Assignment:
- Your name and Carelix Unique ID.
- Your job role and relevant qualifications.
- Your Platform rating and completed Assignment count.
- Your photograph (if uploaded).
We do NOT share your Aadhaar number, PAN number, bank details, phone number, or home address with Clients.
5 Who Else We Share Your Data With
Background verification agencies
For conducting identity, address, and criminal record checks as part of onboarding.
Payment processors
To settle Assignment Fees to your bank account. Only necessary financial data is shared.
Leegality
Your name, mobile number, and email are shared to facilitate e-signing of the Freelancer Service Agreement.
Government and regulatory authorities
We share data when required by law, court order, or regulatory authority including tax authorities.
Technology service providers
Cloud hosting, SMS/OTP providers, and analytics tools — all bound by confidentiality obligations and given only the minimum data required.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
6 Data Retention

7 Data Security
We protect your personal data through:
- Encrypted storage of KYC documents and bank details.
- OTP-based authentication — no passwords that can be guessed or stolen.
- Access controls ensuring only authorised Carelix staff can view sensitive data.
- Secure HTTPS connections for all data transmitted between your device and our servers.
- Regular internal audits of data access logs.
In the event of a data breach likely to affect your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
8 Your Rights Under the DPDP Act 2023
As a data principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
Access
Request a summary of what personal data Carelix holds about you.
Correction
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data in your profile.
Erasure
Request deletion of your personal data. Note that certain data may be retained as required by law (see Section 6).
Grievance Redressal
Raise a complaint about how your data is handled. We will respond within 30 days.
Nomination
Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.

9 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be communicated via the app notification or SMS to your registered mobile number at least 15 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes your acceptance.
